Smart Readiness Indicator: how smart is a building?
The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) measures how well a building controls its installations, responds to occupants and moves with the energy grid. The result is a score from 0 to 100 percent and one of seven classes. Here you read what that means, what becomes mandatory and what you can do.

The seven classes
The bands are set in the European regulation. The names are an aid of this platform.

What the SRI measures
The SRI looks at three things. First: does the building control its own installations so that it uses no more energy than needed. Second: does the building respond to the people in it, with comfort, healthy air and information. Third: can the building move with the energy grid, by shifting consumption or storing energy.
Those three questions are answered for nine parts of the building, the domains: heating, domestic hot water, cooling, ventilation, lighting, the building envelope, electricity, electric vehicle charging, and monitoring and control.

Storage, on-site generation and control of electricity use.
- Electric vehicle charging
Number of charging points, smart charging and user information.
- Monitoring and control
The building management system, fault detection and reporting.
