Begrippen
In short
- 1De vaktermen rond de Smart Readiness Indicator, elk in een paar zinnen uitgelegd.
- 290 kW threshold
- The rated output of heating, cooling or ventilation systems above which building automation is mandatory and above which the SRI is expected to become mandatory.
- BACS (building automation and control system)
- The system that automatically controls and monitors a building's installations.
- Building management system (BMS)
- The software and hardware with which a manager centrally monitors and controls all installations.
- Delegated act
- A decision the European Commission may take to supplement a directive.
- Demand-controlled ventilation
- Ventilation that adjusts the airflow to the number of people or measured CO2, instead of always running at full capacity.
- Domain
- One of the nine parts of a building the SRI assesses: heating, hot water, cooling, ventilation, lighting, envelope, electricity, EV charging and monitoring and control.
- EN ISO 52120-1 (formerly EN 15232)
- The standard that classifies building automation into classes A to D and underpins the BACS requirements.
- Energy flexibility
- A building's ability to shift consumption, store energy and respond to grid or price signals.
- EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive)
- The European directive setting requirements for the energy performance of buildings.
- Functionality level
- The scale from 0 (manual) up to 4 (fully automatic and integrated) on which a service is scored.
- GACS (Dutch term for BACS)
- The Dutch term for BACS.
- Impact criterion
- One of the seven effects on which the SRI scores a service: energy efficiency, maintenance, comfort, convenience, health, information and energy flexibility.
- Key functionality
- The three main goals of the SRI: energy performance and operation, response to occupants, and energy flexibility.
- Method A (simplified)
- The simplified assessment with about 27 services, suitable for a quick indication or smaller buildings.
- National test phase
- A period in which a member state tries out the SRI voluntarily on real buildings.
- Occupancy detection
- Sensors that register whether people are in a room, so lighting, heating and ventilation can respond.
- Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI)
- The European method for measuring how well a building controls its installations, responds to occupants and moves with the energy grid.
- Smart-ready service
- A concrete function a building can perform smartly, such as occupancy control of lighting.
- SRI class
- One of the seven bands the total score falls into: 90 to 100, 80 to 90, 65 to 80, 50 to 65, 35 to 50, 20 to 35 and below 20 percent.
- Weighting factor
- The weight a domain gets in the total score.
